About The Spam Report

I admit it. Sometimes spam can actually be fun.

Don’t get me wrong! I hate spam as much as anyone, but at times I have actually had a damn good laugh while reading some of those Nigerian-style “419″ scam messages that I have received.

I’ve had another section of my site devoted to spam and scam e-mail messages for quite a while, but since this stuff seems to be a never-ending flood, I decided that a blog format is the best way to keep the information current.

The primary reason behind the creation of this blog is to provide a place where other Internet users can look up various spam messages that they have received and get the real story behind the story.

People are still coming onto the Internet who are new to e-mail and all this computer stuff and those are the people who are most at risk from spam e-mail messages that are sent with the intent of scamming them and taking their money.

Those that are cautious enough to look up a name or an e-mail address in one of the search engines before acting on a scam will find sites like this that will serve to warn them and hopefully prevent them from being taken advantage of.

Beyond that, some people might find some of these messages entertaining. As I mentioned, some of them are downright funny. It’s amazing to see some of the off-the-wall stories these scammers dream up.

Spam on, spammers! Some of us will be doing what we can to expose you and your dirty deeds.
