The downtown area is located on the high falls of the Souhegan river where mill buildings of the past still stand today. Some of them serve today as housing for senior citizens.

Despite its small size, Greenville still offers numerous options for outdoor recreation. Some roads in the north part of town offer impressive scenic views.

It's location along the Souhegan River makes it an excellent location for fishing and boating. A donation of 200 acres of land along the river to the state fish and game department has recently improved on recreation opportunities even further.

Greenville offers residents an interesting mix of features including a small downtown business area as well as the apple orchards, rolling hills and farmland in the north part of town.
